Andrej Androjna, MSc, MBA, has been working for more than 30 years in the field of complex project management, implementation and upgrade of maintenance processes, strategic planning and business development in the demanding areas of nuclear power, process industry, manufacturing and related services. He has extensive experience in working with domestic, European and US companies. As a systems engineer in maintenance, he was assigned to safety systems of a nuclear power plant and was involved in a maintenance optimisation project over several years, as well as in numerous outages and modifications at NPP Krško, including the replacement of the steam generators, where he managed all permanent modifications to the plant. He has received intensive additional training in modern maintenance concepts and methodologies in the EU and the USA. At NUMIP he participated in the development of services for complex maintenance projects and system installations in the nuclear power and process industries in the EU and the USA, and in parallel, he completed his MBA study at IEDC Bled and Master study with the thesis “Maintenance Outsourcing in Nuclear and Pharmaceutical Plants in Slovenia”. In 2017-2019, he renewed the maintenance process at DS Smith Slovenia and led the implementation of the SAP PM Module, a computerized maintenance management system.

Since 2019, he has been working independently as a Senior Asset Management Consultant. He also delivers lectures and workshops in the related topics.

In process reengineering, he is confronted with the need for systematic change management, and has therefore got certified as a Certified Change Management Practitioner through the US company Prosci, the world leader in this field. He promotes and assists management to give due consideration to this topic during implementation of change projects.

He continuously follows the development of the asset management and maintenance profession, receives additional training and participates in various international organisations. He has also participated in the preparation and translations of maintenance standards in the Slovenian Institute for Standardisation (SIST) and the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN).

He is a co-editor and a co-author of the first Slovenian book on Maintenance Management and is an author and co-author of numerous articles and conference papers in the subject field.
